As a company, Votorantim Cimentos produces large amounts of data, including several variables. Their teams spent a lot of time wrangling the data and trying to understand correlations.
Votorantim Cimentos had already established initiatives for Industry 4.0. They were primarily focusing on maintenance, monitoring equipment, and using measurement systems. However, they wanted a digital solution that allowed them to better leverage their use of data.
BRAINCUBE’S SOLUTION
Braincube built a Digital Twin of their process, following the flow of cement from raw material to finished good. This Digital Twin provided Votorantim Cimentos with a digital replication of its true production environment. In turn, they optimized their resources such as time, energy, and inputs.
Initially, Votorantim Cimentos thought Braincube would be used to focus on a specific category of problems and opportunities. However, after using Braincube, they quickly realized that they could adapt their use case to the broader needs of the plant.Â
